RSVP Today for Prof. Giddings’s NYC Talk, Wed. March 11

The historic BASC-NYC Smith Club Joint Faculty Visit to New York City event featurung Professor Paula Giddings, is going to held at 6:30pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Alliance-Bernstein Headquarters, which is located at 1345 Avenue of the Americas (building is on 6th Avenue and between 55th and 54th Street).  To get there, take the 1 train to 51st and Broadway or B or D train to 57th Street, exit at 55th Street, west side of street.

Hue Man Booksellers of Harlem, which has handled a number of book-signings for Prof. Gidding, will be at the Alliance-Bernstein venue handling the book-signing part of this event.

Let’s show our support for Smith College African American Faculty!!

BASC members are encouraged to attend  and bring friends of all backgrounds and to purchase books at this special event. If you cannot attend, but want to purchase a signed book, we can make arrangements. But, you must submit your request ASAP!

The catered affair will cost $10 for BASC/NYC Smith Club Members and $25 for guests.

Please RSVP TODAY to Gigi at communications@blackalums.com, your attendance; specify how many books you want; number of guests, to assist us with the planning.
